TD2 Geek Portable Acoustic Imaging

The TD2 Geek is a smartphone attachment that uses an array of 64 MEMS microphones to capture sound from multiple directions simultaneously. It calculates the direction and intensity of each sound source and creates a colorful "sound map" overlaid on a real-time camera image, allowing you to "see" where sounds are coming from — including ultrasonic sounds beyond human hearing.

It is designed for both industrial and everyday use. It can detect compressed air leaks, abnormal mechanical noises, high-frequency humming from electrical equipment, and noises behind walls. It is also excellent for nature exploration (locating birds, insects, or animals) and music visualization.

The effective detection range is 0.3m to 100m. The TD2 Geek covers a frequency range of 2kHz to 50kHz (manually adjustable in the app), which is specifically optimized to balance industrial fault detection and consumer applications.

The TD2 Geek requires a mainstream Android phone running Android 12 or above, with the OTG function enabled in the system settings. It does not support iPhones.

Download the FOTRIC Genie App from Google Play. Secure the TD2 Geek to the phone holder using the included mounting screw and block, mount your phone, and connect the two using the USB Type-C cable. Open the app and tap "Connect Device" to enter the live view.

No, it does not drain your phone's battery. The TD2 Geek has its own internal built-in battery that provides approximately 4 hours of operating time. You can recharge it using a standard DC 5V power adapter connected to its USB Type-C port.

The device supports three modes:

• Single-source: Displays the strongest sound pressure level area on the live view.
• Multi-source: Displays multiple strong sound pressure level areas simultaneously.
• Hologram: Displays the overall sound pressure level distribution across the entire view, giving you a complete picture of the sound environment rather than just highlighting the strongest sources.

Acoustic Image Focus shields acoustic signals from the surrounding area and focuses exclusively on the center of the screen, helping you concentrate on a specific target without background interference.

Yes. You can capture JPG images and record MP4 videos. You can even capture single-frame photos while a video is recording. The app allows you to share these files directly through the sharing icon in the gallery.

Yes. The app supports automatic screen rotation (your phone's auto-rotate setting must be enabled). It also automatically adjusts to 11 different languages (English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, etc.) based on your phone's system language. For unsupported languages, it defaults to English.

This is usually a software compatibility issue or incorrect setting. Please ensure:

1. Your phone runs Android 12 or above.
2. The OTG function is explicitly enabled in your phone's settings.
   Known issue: Some Xiaomi models running HyperOS have a confirmed compatibility issue (a fix is under development). If requirements are met and the issue persists, please contact support with your phone model and order number.

Yes, the TD2 Geek features a tripod connection interface and supports multiple mounting methods. It also carries an IP54 rating, meaning it is protected against limited dust ingress and splashing water from any direction.
